In the datasheet, it states that the input/ output voltage can be kept between 3.0V and 40V. And the maximum output current is limited to 1.5A. The MC34063 is made specifically designed to be incorporated in Step−Down and Step−Up and Voltage−Inverting applications with a minimum number of external components. With two external resistors, the output voltage can be adjusted. This IC have a typical oscillator frequency up to 100KHz.
